Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. As a young girl of just five years old when she left for Oxfordshire and enrolled at her first Dragon School. Emma chose to be an actor at age six. Through the years, she attended the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. In the school, she was taught singing as well as dancing, and also acting. The actress had performed in a variety of Stagecoach or school shows by the time she was ten years old. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000), the movie version to J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was cast for first time in 1999. Emma was discovered as a casting agent by her Oxford drama instructor. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone, and Ron Weasley told Emma after eight auditions that she had been chosen for these parts. Emma was chosen to play alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's first appearance in a film was as a part of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. This film was 2001's highest production, and it broke records during the opening day as well as the first weekend. Reviewers praised the film, particularly the young performers. The Daily Telegraph, an important British paper, called Emma's performance "amazing". Emma received five nominations for her impressive performance. In the end, she received the Young Artist Award in Leading Young Actress of a Film.
